Accounting software options

QuickBooks for PC and QB Online are the only accounting packages that officially integrate with Function Point, but if you have a different setup, you still have options.

Please note that Function Point cannot work with accounting software that exists on a remote server. To integrate with fp., the accounting software and fp.Accountant must be installed on your computer.

QuickBooks for PC

For information about how to integrate Function Point with QuickBooks for PC, see our fp.Accountant documentation and videos.

QuickBooks for Mac

Function Point doesn't support QuickBooks for Mac because its parent company hasn't released an API that would let us integrate with it. If you're a Mac-based firm like us, however, you can still use QuickBooks for PC. You just need to install Parallels, vmware, or something similar, and use it to run the accounting software.
